In response to the need for better communication and intimacy in marriages, KCCD has been leading the way in providing marriage education classes such as Mastering the Mysteries of Love for the community. On March 2 and April 5, KCCD hosted Mastering the Mysteries of Love classes for the Korean American community. MML is a skills-based training program that teaches healthy relationships skills for singles and couples of all ages. Instruction was led by past graduates of the KCCD instructor certification class. More than 95-percent of the participants said they would highly recommend the MML class to others.

“10 Great Dates”
Marriage education classes a success
For 10 weeks, couples had the opportunity to go on “10 Great Dates” through KCCD. This program incorporates award-winning, effective, easy-to-lead curriculum that helps couples build their marriages and enrich their relationships in the context of ten great dates. Each week, couples were given a short video lesson on different topics and were then given structured topics to discuss on their dates. Topics included communicating better, putting the sizzle back into sex, processing anger and resolving conflicts,
developing intimacy, appreciating each other’s differences and balancing busy lifestyles. Participants expressed appreciation for the course and loved the opportunity to date their spouses. Free babysitting was also provided.
