As an artist, it is important for me to produce work that reflects personal exploration and discovery. What inspires me most is whenever my mind wanders and lands right in the middle of a daydream. Each piece I begin is a release of what has been brewing inside my head, where I untangle the constant murmuring of wonders and reveries, be it childhood tales, revisited memories or even manufactured memories. I am intrigued by the notion of how thought can translate into an image that provokes further thought. My hope is that my work will communicate to another mind and affect it's own exploration and analysis.
For this series, I wanted there to be a dialogue between the solitary female and her surrounding environment, such as empty spaces, trees and other inanimate objects. I wanted their interaction to evolve into a narrative that gives an identity and past to the female subject.
