KACF hosted an all-day workshop on “Developing a Fundraising Plan” on May 1 for staff and board members of community organizations serving the Korean and Asian American communities in the greater New York area. Dr. JuWon Choi, vice president of educational services at the Foundation Center, led the workshop.
The 30 nonprofit representatives who participated gained knowledge on a myriad of topics, from understanding the financial state of an organization, to selecting fundraising strategies and implementing plans. Jineun Park of Wonkwang Community Service Center thanked KACF for the seminar, saying he not only gained new ideas on collecting funds but also benefited from the opportunity to network with other nonprofit representatives within community.
