The voter registration drive held during the week of Feb. 17-21 in the greater Seattle area
successfully registered Asian American voters for the upcoming elections. Through the
efforts of many volunteers, desk attendants, and translators, KAC-WA (formerly KAVA
and KAPS) and other Asian organizations coordinated an opportunity to expose and
encourage the Asian American community to register and vote. Many packets were given
out so that family members could register on their own. We at KAC-WA feel great to have
been part of this effort to empower the Asian American voice in our political process. If
you find such opportunities, I strongly encourage everyone to support, give time and help
out the registration of newly naturalized citizens and feel the energy of giving back to
