The Ahn Trio is a classical music ensemble composed of three sisters, cellist Maria, and her twin sister, pianist Lucia, plus the youngest sister, violinist Angella. The trio performed at the Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles on June 1. A group from KAFSC attended the event and had a wonderful time listening to the enchanting tunes.

Get certified by the National Retail Federation in customer service excellence or management

 

The Workforce Readiness Academy at LACC provides youth with a four-week intensive retail training course that includes instruction on the following topics:

• Getting to know your customer

• Meeting your customer’s needs

• Building a continuous relationship

• Going the extra mile

 

Upon completion of these workshops, students will receive a certificate of completion from Los Angeles City College. You will also have the chance to take the National Retail Federation’s exam in customer service skills and/or management. With successful completion of the exam, the student will receive a certificate provided by the National Retail Federation.

KAFSC wants to give youth a glimpse into the working world. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire skills in communication, information management, multi-tasking, writing skills, computer knowledge, etc. If you are a professional interested in helping teach these skills, please contact KAFSC. We are looking for a wide range of occupations to accommodate students with variety of interests.
