•?March 8: — Developmental Theory: How kids grow and interact with their environment, and how you can assist in their positive development.
•?March 15: — Communication Skills: Strengthen your communication competency and break communication barriers with your kids. The seminar will allow you to establish great communication skills as you learn there’s more to language than just words.
•?March 22 — Disciplining Your Children Appropriately: Understand how to discipline your child in everyday and acute situations and learn effective techniques.
•?March 29 — Parent Literacy/Improve Your English: English is not an easy language to learn, but practice makes perfect. Don’t let language barriers prevent you from understanding what’s going on in your community or with your children. This seminar will allow you to improve your English and become more comfortable with the language. No fee, sponsored by Readiness for School Program.

Mentoring Opportunity
Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend your time? Become a KAFSC mentor and help our youth! It’s an extraordinary opportunity to develop personal relationships with the youth in your community and make a huge difference in their lives. As a mentor, you will have to meet with your mentee at least once a month over six months. Mentors must be a college student or possess a college degree.
