Lodestone Theatre Ensemble presents Kenneth Cavander’s translation of Euripides’ classic play The Trojan Women. The play will feature Asian Pacific American actors led by veterans Emily Kuroda (“The Gilmore Girls”) and Kelvin Han Yee (“Lucky You”).

Written, directed and produced by Asian Americans, A Rabbit and A Tiger Productions will be performing “The Thumping Claw One Act Series” at the Actor’s Playpen in Hollywood.

Performances will show Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights beginning on August 10. Tickets are $22 at the door, but advanced sales and discounts are available at www.plays411.com/thumpingclaw. Proceeds will benefit The Center for the Pacific American Family.

Enjoy some family-friendly fun at the 85th annual L.A. County Fair. This year’s fair will feature an exhibition of life-size houses of trash, representing the amount of trash a family of four uses in a year in addition to rides, gourmet food, wine, concerts and a petting zoo.
