Tradition, Changes And Family Values

KAFSC’s 22nd annual fundraising dinner

KAFSC held its 22nd annual fundraising dinner on Sept. 29 at the residence of our fundraising chair, Byung Chul Park. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the dinner, entitled “Tradition, Changes, and Family Values,” was an incredible success. Over 200 guests were able to enjoy the reception, which featured a short documentary on the history of our center, our current status and our goal of opening our very own shelter, which would accommodate victims of domestic violence. The feature presentation was followed by wonderful performances from entertainers Hyekyung Park, Seon Ho Whang and Jenny Kye.

A portion of the charitable proceeds, which was a record-high total, will go toward achieving our vision of building a shelter for our community. With the benevolent assistance from our supporters, our organization, which was established in 1983, will continue to serve and strive for a better and more thriving Korean community. Our mission has always been to support and strengthen Korean American families and individuals through counseling, education and other social services. If you would like to support our agency and its cause, please do not hesitate to check our Web site at www.kafscla.org or call us at (213) 389-6755.

Thank you once again to our sponsors and supporters.
