Annual fundraiser will take place June 9

KHEIR is pleased to announce that its 2005 fundraising dinner will take place on Thursday, June 9 at the Omni Hotel, located in downtown Los Angeles. This annual dinner fundraiser will provide a great opportunity for members of the public, private and nonprofit sectors to come together and rally around issues of health care access. KHEIR and its board of directors, as well as the dinner committee cordially welcome you to join us in carrying out our mission of "Increasing Access to Healthcare."

KHEIR is now a mid-sized organization that serves over 30,000 clients annually. Over the past four years, during state and federal budget deficits and numerous consequential funding cuts, KHEIR has worked harder than ever to increase access to health care for low-income, uninsured and underinsured families. Recently, KHEIR commenced renovation of our main, health and human services offices in an attempt to centralize KHEIR’s location at the KOA building, which is located at the corner of West 6th Street and Harvard Boulevard. This expansion will provide our organization with the ability to increase the quality and quantity of care to our community. In addition to a new facility, the year 2005 has brought KHEIR a new medical director and community clinic administrative coordinator. This year’s fundraiser will be a time to reflect on the progress of this past year, and to envision the goals of the years to come.

KHEIR, like most community-based health care organizations, relies on fundraising from within the community to meet the growing need for affordable health services in the Koreatown area. The 2005 annual fundraising dinner is one of the largest community events programmed by KHEIR.

Individual tickets for the dinner are $200 a seat. For more information on the 2005 fundraising dinner or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Stella Song, director of community gifts, at (213) 427-4000, ext. 113.
