One reader might want to put KoreAm into submission for suggesting that Gail Kim’s firing from the WWE might be a result of discrimination. He says it was a practical business decision.

On the WWE’s “Monday Night Raw,” there is usually only one women’s match, consisting of two WWE Divas in single’s competition. Having one women’s match per week, it is logical from a business standpoint to reduce a bloated roster of seven to four (not all of the WWE female employees are trained professionals); and naturally keep the four most popular women wrestlers. Your article failed to mention both of these facts. Unfortunately, Gail Kim was not among the top favorites, and was subsequently released. This is comparable to a professional baseball team releasing a pitcher who can no longer perform because bad pitching does not bring revenue; the pitcher’s ethnicity has nothing to do with the decision. Likewise in wrestling, less popular wrestlers do not bring in revenue. I hope that in the future your reporters will do more thorough researching instead of making quick judgments.
