LOS ANGELES — When the lotus flowers start to bloom in Echo Park, then you know it is time for the rite of summer known as the Lotus Festival. This annual two-day event celebrates the Asian and Pacific Islander communities that weave into the fabric of this city, while giving Angelenos the opportunity to indulge in lots of ethnic food, music, dancing and shopping.
