KACF supporters gathered at the house of Sunny Yoon and Seonah Lee for a Circle of Friends Halloween party.

KACF’s Circle of Friends events are intimate and informal gatherings hosted by members of the board of directors, as well as advisors, patrons and other individuals interested in KACF. The goal of these events is to introduce KACF to potential new supporters, answer questions and encourage attendees to support the organization by volunteering and/or signing on to the “Dollar a Day” campaign. Attendees socialize and network, while helping KACF broaden its circle of friends.

Halloween Bash

Advisory board member Sunny Yoon and his wife, Seonah Lee, hosted a Circle of Friends Halloween party for KACF over the Halloween weekend in their elegant Manhattan home. A very special thanks to Sunny and Seonah, thanks to whom we were able to raise $3,000 from 50 guests.

Poker Night

Board members Jun Whang and Eubin Kim, along with volunteers Anna Lee, Lila Kim, Julie Kim and Howie Keum, hosted Circle of Friends Poker Night on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Twins Restaurant and Lounge. Over $2,000 was raised for KACF from 40 players on four tables and 15 spectators.

AmorePacific

Kyung Yoon, Sue Whang, Susan Kim (AmorePacific) and Robin Moon hosted a Circle of Friends event at AmorePacific’s fabulous new flagship store in SoHo. Approximately 40 guests attended the event held on Nov. 30. AmorePacific graciously sponsored the entire event, providing food and refreshments, complimentary gift bags for all attendees and a raffle for an AmorePacific package worth $3,500. The night was a resounding success — we raised $5,600!

It was a full house at KACF’s poker night.

Dinner Party

Juju Chang and her husband Neal Shapiro hosted an intimate dinner party at their lovely upper Central Park West home for their Circle of Friends event. The eclectic mix of people included the producer of “Cookin’,” and the founder of International Sejong Soloists. The dinner raised $4,000 in pledges, mostly from patrons renewing their commitment to KACF.
