A good celebrity photographer is going to be a good portraitist

or just a good artist. … With a portrait session you have a limited amount of time, but you have to get pretty intimate with a subject very quickly, otherwise you get nothing. So you develop this relationship

of trust very quickly. That’s interesting to me, sort of the psychological aspect. You get really good at reading people.
