Dear KAC-WA members:
Again, it is my pleasure to write this president’s letter to thank everyone who organized and participated in the golf tournament on June 28 at the Trilogy Golf Club. I want to particularly express gratitude to Tom Pak for his generous and annual support of the Korean Community Counseling Center and its work. I would also like to recognize our own Jina Yun for coordinating and working with the various supporting organizations to make this event a success and a great source of fundraising for the KCCC. I am grateful for all the golfers who took the time to participate in this event, and we look forward to another exciting and successful tournament next year.
Now, we have many events to plan for, in addition to hosting our national convention planning meetings and regular monthly gatherings. Anyone interested in participating in and contributing to the KAC effort is welcome to attend and join us in this momentous occasion. Please check out our website at www.kacwashington.org and see what we’re up to, and come out to meet our fine and excellent volunteers. Thanks once again to all our members and executive and advisory board members. See you soon.
Very truly yours,
Soloman Kim

The 8th annual golf tournament recap
One hundred players came to tee off at our 8th annual KABA/KAC/KAHPA golf tournament to benefit the Korean Community Counseling Center (KCCC). With sponsors like Anheuser-Busch, Townsend and Townsend and Crew, Mastro Properties, Miller Nash, Stafford Frey Cooper, Eastside Primary Care, Starbucks, and our title sponsor, Thomas K. Pak, we were able to raise approximately $17,000. The KCCC is a social service organization serving mostly the first generation and our younger brothers and sisters. They will be using the proceeds from the golf tournament to fund an annual youth leadership camp in August.
Even under 95-degree heat, all players had a great time teeing off with old and new friends. Special appearances were made by Judge Mariane Spearman, Justice Charles Johnson, and newly appointed Consul General Ha Ryong Yi.
