It’s Harry Potter, yo.

The world’s most beloved boy wizard gets street cred in “Harry Potter in the Hood,” a musical spoof on the mega-selling series. Complete with scantily clad backup dancers and clever lyrics (“An evil spell can cause a bad reaction, like a daycare center run by Michael Jackson”), the three-minute video has racked up millions of hits on YouTube.

The man behind the music is Joong-Han Chung, a 31-year-old Los Angeles composer who has worked on VH1 reality shows such as “The Surreal Life: Fame Games,” “Flavor of Love” and “My Fair Brady.” A friend hooked him up with “Harry in the Hood” writers/directors Allan Murray and Sean Haines, the masterminds behind YouTube celeb-mocking favorites “Paris in Jail” and “Lindsay Fully Loaded.”

“I wanted to combine hip-hop and orchestra sounds,” says Chung, who hopes to get involved with similar projects in the future. “It was something fun. I didn’t expect it to get this big.”
