Kids, the next time Mom scolds you for watching too much TV, introduce her to Victor Lee.

He and his two college buddies reign as the 2007 champions of VH1’s “World Series of Pop Culture.” Known as the Twisted Misters, the trash-talking trio used their remarkable grasp of pop culture trivia to sweep the grand prize: $250,000, a place in next year’s tournament, and, of course, major bragging rights.

Lee, 23, a soon-to-be law school student from Leona, N.J, is a rising player on the game show circuit. He also recently appeared on “Jeopardy” (taking home the third-place prize of $1,000) and GSN’s “Grand Slam” (he lost to “Jeopardy” marvel Ken Jennings). KoreAm picks his pop-culture-packed brain.

How did you become such an expert on pop culture?

I spent my childhood in front of the television. My mom and dad, being the hardworking immigrant parents they were, weren’t home often and I sort of watched TV to fill in the time. A little sad, but I guess things turned out all right.

How did you get on the show?

My teammates and I were all members the NYU Quiz Bowl team. We heard about a pop culture game show, turned in an application and were invited to take a timed, 50-question test at the NYC regional tryouts. Afterwards, we had to interview with the producers and show off our charisma.

Some say your team was arrogant.

Guilty as charged. We were definitely brash and cocky, which was largely instigated by me. I believe we earned our right to be a little arrogant though, because we eventually backed up the talk.

Quick. What was the name of Kevin Arnold’s band on “The Wonder Years”?

You know, ever since I won the WSOPC, friends and even random people I meet are constantly trying to quiz me. Half the time, I get the question right, while other times, I just have to say I don’t know. This is one of those times. Do you seriously know the answer to this off the top of your head?

Nope. I Googled it. It’s The Electric Shoes, by the way. Has life changed since you won?

I’ve certainly become quite popular on Facebook, with plenty of new friend invites, especially of the female variety. It’s kind of crazy to search for myself on the Internet and find people blogging about me, both positively and negatively.

What do your parents think about your success?

They’re always psyched to see any Korean on TV, so the fact that this is their own son is all the more awesome. They still think answering questions about supposedly meaningless pop culture trivia is a little silly, but they can’t argue with the money.

What are you going to do with the cash?

The bulk of my winnings will be spent in quite an unsexy manner: paying down my student loans.
