There is a time in everyone’s life when a shoulder to lean on comes in handy, when having someone on your side isn’t just helpful, but necessary. KYCC’s clinical services unit provides the support that is needed for individuals to feel empowered to take the steps which will lead their lives in the right direction. Our services are offered on an individual, family or group basis to fit the needs of our clients. The programs champion prevention, strong families and the safety and well-being of children. Our clinicians have programs set up through many schools in the area to provide more convenient services to the children who need to access them. All of our health services are provided free of charge. Services are available in English, Korean and Spanish and include:
> Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention
Individual, family and group counseling for victims and those at risk of child abuse and neglect. Includes educational workshops to raise community awareness about child abuse.
> Family Preservation
Intensive in-home counseling, support and linkage services for families at risk of separation, focusing on child safety
> Mental Health Services
Individual, group and family therapy for children, youth and their families. Medicinal management provided based on client need.
> Parent Education
Training and education for parents to gain a better understanding of child and adolescent development and appropriate parenting skills.

Tax Time
Where did you get your taxes filed? How much did you pay to get your taxes filed? Why did you pay to get your taxes filed? KYCC, in partnership with Hanmi Bank, provided free income tax returns for low- to moderate-income earning residents of Koreatown during the month of March. As part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance network, KYCC and Hanmi Bank provided over 160 returns during four Saturdays in the month of March. The services were provided in English, Korean and Spanish. KYCC will provide free taxes during next tax season as well. If you are interested in getting your taxes done or volunteering during the tax season, please contact Audrey Casillas at (213) 365-7400, ext. 235.
