A group of our youth development clients.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors for making the 2006 annual Holiday Carnival a big hit! With over 1,000 in attendance, it was easy to see that all of the hard work and dedication of our staff and our amazing volunteers paid off. This year we were pleased to have the support of the Korea Times, Cha Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Tri-Star Appraisal and Chan Ho Park. Additionally, over 1,000 toys were donated by the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, Korean American Bar Association, Toys for Tots, the Office of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Bravo High School.
Children of all ages and their families had a wonderful time visiting with Santa, playing games to win prizes, making picture frames and candy cane reindeers in our Arts and Crafts Section, playing with fake snow and much, much more! The event was certainly highlighted by a visit from baseball player Chan Ho Park, who generously took time out of his busy schedule to autograph T-shirts and take pictures with the crowd.
This event was a heartwarming display of holiday spirit and the difference that the community can make in the lives of the children and families of Koreatown. Again, we extend our thanks to all who helped.
