KABA goes to Las Vegas!

 

The 19th Annual Convention of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association was held Nov. 15 to 18 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Las Vegas. More than 1,200 attorneys and law students from all around the country attended the conference. A record number of KABA members attended the conference, including current KABA board members Angela Oh, Vivian Thoreen, Joanna Kim, Lisa Kwon, Yungsuhn Park, Joann Lee, Paul Park, Princeton Kim, Steve Hwang, Lisa Yang, Ekwan Rhow, Ellen Shin, and Marrian Chang. A party was hosted for all KABA chapters across the country, which was a huge success. KABA board members Joann Lee, Paul Park, and Yungsuhn Park presented a panel called “Community Lawyering: Issues Facing Immigrant Communities,” and Angela Oh moderated a panel on “Leadership and Lawyering.” Next year’s NAPABA Convention will be held in Seattle.
