‘Sun Soo Kwon’ & ‘Jin Soo Kwon,’
a.k.a. the Korean couple on
“Lost”
WHAT YOU NEED: For Sun Soo, a light beige or tan sweater, solid or with white trim, and a dark gray or black knee-length skirt. For Jin Soo, a tattered, striped dress shirt and dark slacks, which can be rolled up and or torn as well. For both, messy hair and dark powder to make your face look dirty, as if you just survived a plane crash.
‘Oh Dae Su’ of
“Old Boy”
WHAT YOU NEED: Black shoes, socks, pants, shirt, coat and a shock of wild black hair for the protagonist of Park Chan Wook’s cinematic thriller, who has Halloween written all over him. Don’t forget the sparse goatee around the sneering mouth. And the key accessory for this dark ensemble: a bright, yellow hammer, to mete out your revenge for being slighted that piece of candy.
Kim Jong Il
WHAT YOU NEED: A khaki, olive or gray button-up shirt and matching pants with black shoes, a large pair of glasses, and any variation on the Elvis-type, pompadour wig. With all that, you just might be able to get a laugh at the expense of North Korea’s Dear Leader, just like the creators of “South Park” and the writers of “MADtv.”
‘Kang Jun Sang’ & ‘Jung Yu Jin’ of
“Winter Sonata”
WHAT YOU NEED: To be like famed Korean TV “dur-a-mah” star Bae Yong Joon, who played ‘Kang,’ get hair with highlighted locks of gold and red-orange, light-framed glasses, and an outfit consisting of turtleneck sweater, muffler and big coat. Add a sensitive yet soulful expression, and you might have hordes of Japanese women trampling all over themselves to see you. To be like actress Choi Ji Woo, who played ‘Jung,’ get a fuzzy pastel sweater and scarf — or anything that looks soft, cuddly and ready to hug, for those love-struck moments.

OTHER IDEAS
Michelle Wie
WHAT YOU NEED: Along with a matching golf outfit — preferably in light or bright colors — and Titleist cap or visor, you’ll want to sport long, dangling earrings and the cherubic face of a teenager rumored to be turning pro and set to earn an estimated $10 million a year. The 300-yard drives off the tee not necessary.
Alice Kim &
Nicholas Cage or Soon-Yi Previn & Woody Allen
WHAT YOU NEED: For you couples out there, either of these costumes have a lot of variations to play with — a cocktail dress or red carpet-type number, or even a hanbok, for the girl. But most important is the guy who needs to look like a middle-aged white man with a hankering for a nubile Asian female half his age.
Chan Ho Park
WHAT YOU NEED: The facial hair, and a revolving wardrobe of No. 61 baseball jerseys, along with matching caps. Choose between the Dodgers, Rangers or Padres, or better yet, keeping changing the uniforms throughout the night. NOTE: Can be applied to Byung-hyun Kim (Diamondbacks to Red Sox to Rockies), Hee Seop Choi (Cubs to Marlins to Dodgers) and Sun Woo Kim (Expos to Nationals to Rockies).
