Sabrina Randall, a New York-based model, has appeared in magazines like Maxim and posed in numerous ads for companies like the Gap.

Describe what you do.

I am a print, fashion and TV model.

Was modeling something you’ve always been passionate about?

Passionate is not really a word I like to use when describing my job. I feel very lucky to be involved in this business and am very passionate about the things that go along with it, such as traveling to far-off destinations, meeting a constant flow of very talented, interesting and exciting people, and let’s face it, the money!

Describe your path here. What other jobs have you held prior to joining Q Management?

Well, I’ve been everything from a credit card application girl at the mall to waiting tables, working retail for a number of years and selling T-shirts door-to-door. I was finally "discovered" when I was 20 years old, working at the Diesel store on Lexington in New York City by a photographer who insisted on doing a "test." Later, that photographer introduced me to Q, and after that, it’s all been a fun, fun ride.

Which modeling job was the most memorable and why?

Clinique cosmetics because it was my first major campaign.

What skill of yours has proven to be one of the most useful to your job?

Definitely the gift of gab! I talk everyone up at the casting, which helps clients remember you.

What are some challenges that you might not have expected?

Well, I can’t say that every job has been a walk in the park. Modeling is a very unpredictable job that constantly tests your physical and mental limits. For example, standing outside in 98-degree weather, with an inch of makeup spackled to your face, a fur winter coat draped over your body and a photographer telling you to smile. All of this while sweat drips down your forehead and your makeup is starting to run into your eyes, which causes them to burn. "Smile sweetie, you look gorgeous!" This also applies to summer bikinis in the winter. Oh yes, and I cannot forget the time that I got poison ivy because the photographer wanted me to "roll around in the bushes." Joy!

What are the perks to modeling?

A lot! As I mentioned earlier, you get to travel a lot, meet interesting people and, of course, make some good money.

What is your favorite work time pick-me-up?

Starbucks! I’m from Seattle, so I grew up on the stuff.

What is your work philosophy?

Never, ever arrive late for a job under any circumstances! If you go out the night before and play, the next morning you’re going to have to pay! I just make it a rule that I do not go out the night before a job and get plenty of rest!

What’s the best euphemism you’ve heard for your job title?
