Welcome New Officers

President Janette Kwon
Janette Kwon was born in Tae-Gu, Korea and came to the United States when she was 8 years old. She graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in social work, with a concentration in child, youth and family services. She later went onto her graduate studies in clinical social work, with a concentration in adult psychology, with aspirations of becoming a therapist in family counseling.
Janette has worked as an investigator at Child Protective Services and currently is a licensor with the State Department in the division of Child care and Early Learning.
Outside of her studies and work, she has been working as a director of the Sunday school and youth group at the Bellevue Central Presbyterian Church.
Janette got involved with KAPS in 2001 when she volunteered to chair the nominations committee for the 2001 Community Awards Gala. She continues to serve KAPS in 2004 and 2005 as the president and is looking forward to another rewarding year of community service, professional development and education and civic involvement.

Vice President Jin Pak
Jin Pak was born in Pusan, Korea and came to the States when he was 8 years old. He grew up in Rhode Island and attended Long Island University at Southampton Campus and majored in geology. He also lived in New York City before moving out to Seattle. He served on the board of directors at Korean American Family Center in Manhattan from 1993 to 1994.
Currently, Jin is the owner of a PIP Printing & Document Service located in Fremont, Wash. He has been a member of KAPS since 2000. He is also a member of New Life Fellowship in Bothell, Wash. and is a part of the Washington Korean American Chamber of Commerce 2004.
Jin enjoys spending time with his two sons and his interests are biking, hiking, tennis and trying to learn golf.
Treasurer Jenna Lee
Jenna Lee is a program manager at Microsoft in the enterprise application services group focusing on SAP finance, procurement and business warehouse modules. She has worked with SAP since 1999 as systems administrator, SW engineer and program manager at various stages, including implementation, maintenance, upgrade and installation. She has extensive experiences in worldwide rollouts, infrastructure program management and system analyses as a finance consultant. Jenna also serves as the secretary of the Northwest Chapter of the American SAP user group and actively delivers IT best practices to the executives of Fortune 500 companies.
Jenna is originally from Seoul, and came to Seattle in 1996 during her senior year at Ewha Girls Foreign Language High School, and studied at the University of Washington. She likes travelling and helping others and is an active participant in local entrepreneur networks. She is passionate about technology and taking part in opportunities to make a difference.

Secretary Jina Yun
Jina Yun was born in Suwon, Korea and moved to Seattle when she was 7 years old. After graduating from Washington State University with degrees in TV broadcasting and political science and a minor in fine arts photography, she worked as a news anchor for a local Korean TV station. After nearly three years of working as the main anchor for KOAM-TV, Jina steered 180 degrees and now works in the Washington State Capital in Olympia as Senator Paull Shin’s session aide.
Jina hopes to bridge the gap between the first, 1.5 and second generation, and is interested in promoting Korean language and culture to the second generation and adoptee community, especially since she herself had to re-learn the language while working in TV.
Outside of work, Jina is actively involved with a Korean traditional dance group called Morning Star. She volunteers for numerous Korean organizations and is a mentor for the University of Washington and the Washington State University KSAs. Jina enjoys traveling, sports, movies, eating, sleeping and ice cream!
