The East Coast Asian American Student Union Conference (ECAASU) comes to the University of Pennsylvania. The pan-Asian conference expects around 800 to 1,000 students from over 100 colleges to attend. ECAASU is the nation’s oldest and largest APA student conference. It will have over 40 workshops and feature speakers like former Washington state Gov. Gary Locke and Rep. Mike Honda, as well as John Cho, SuChin Pak, author Helie Lee and Adrian Hong from Liberation in North Korea.

Christian rock band IX Saves will be performing for the first time in two years as part of a benefit concert at the Cerritos Mission Church to raise money for tsunami victims in Southeast Asia.

East West Players, the nation’s premier Asian American theatre organization, will present the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Proof.” Written by David Auburn and directed by Heidi Helen Davis, “Proof” will be played for the first time by an all-Asian American cast.
All performances will be in the David Henry Hwang Theater at the Union Center for the Arts, located at 120 Judge John Aiso Street.
