This April, KoreAm celebrates its 15th birthday.
So, just because we can, we decided to look for 10 other things
that are “15” — we were too tired to find five more.

Golf phenom Michelle Wie was born in 1990 just like KoreAm, making her 15 years old, too. Sadly, she’s more mature than us and has a bigger fan base.

On the U.S. Marshals’ Web site, there is a list of the 15 most wanted criminals. Not one Korean in the bunch, which is good, but then again, it’s always nice to be wanted.

Apollo 15 launched on July 26, 1971, and was the fourth NASA
mission to land men on the moon. But now, NASA can’t get back to moon, just like KoreAm can’t finish an issue before a deadline.

The British Board of Film Classification uses a “15” rating for movies not meant to be seen, rented or bought by anyone under 15 years of age. We think this means films that show anything that goes past first base.

Latinas celebrate birthday number 15 with a big bash called a Quinceañera, meant to be a coming-out for girls. There will be no bash for the KoreAm staff, and all the coming out we’re doing here is at the seams.

April 15, will come and go, but the KoreAm staff will still be overtaxed.

Food manufacturer Corona Real sells bags of Chiclet with 15 bundles. Just perfect for those who feel 10 is too little, 20 too much.

Right now, the Portland Trailblazers are having their first losing season in 15 years. Hopefully, it is just a coincidence that it comes in Ha Seung Jin’s rookie season. He became the first Korean ever drafted by the NBA last year.

Andy Warhol said that everyone
will be famous for 15 minutes. KoreAm had its 15 minutes years ago. Thanks to those who have stuck around long afterward.
